Description:
May include:
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, payroll, procedures, programs, etc.; resolve issues and escalate to appropriate point of contact if further assistance is needed
- Assist with employee relations, benefits, training, events, communications and compensation programs
- Pre-Boarding and On-Boarding- recruiting and staffing logistics
- Initiate pre-employment background & drug screening
- Coordinate interviews including schedules and locations as needed
- Coordinate travel arrangements for candidates when needed
- Assist with the collection of new hire documents and processing of I-9s & E-Verify
- Conduct new hire employee orientations (including badging)
- Process new hire data in the HRIS system along with updating employee data as needed
- Ensure accuracy and successful completion of all new hire documents and system processing
- May assist with department audits to ensure compliance and consistency of Company and Government (Federal and State) requirements and policies.
- Generate reports and analyze data and trends
- Maintain and update employee and HR (soft and hard) files
- Recommend innovative approaches policies and procedures to effect continual improvement of human resources department and services provided
- May provide support to other HR functions and administrative areas in the Company (such as reception)
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Resolves most questions and problems as tasks are frequently non-routine

Knowledge & Skills:
- Adapts procedures, processes, and tools to meet the requirements of the role
- Knowledge of the general principles and practices of the HR function
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to Embrace the “Customer and Team First” concept
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with HRIS systems/platforms
- Ability to focus, high level of attention to detail and accuracy of information
- Demonstrate good judgement and problem solving skills
- Effective organizational and time management including priority setting skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work flexible schedule when necessary
Experience:
- 2-4 years preferably in a high volume manufacturing environment
- 2-4 years of FLMA and other leave experience, strongly preferred
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Additional training/education is a plus
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be flexible – work outside of standard office hours as needed
- Must wear required PPE in designated manufacturing areas
