Are you an enthusiastic Administrator with a basic understanding of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)? Our Medical Records and Information Governance team are looking for an FOI Administrator to join their dynamic team.
As part of their role, the Medical Records Team process Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests, received from the public. The role is a varied and challenging role, and one that is very rewarding due to supporting requesters in providing responses to FOI’s.
The FOI Administrator role is a full-time permanent or fixed term (8 months) post. This role will be based primarily at Sentinel House, Poole however being a driver is essential for the role due to needing to travel to other Trust sites, e.g., Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester.
As the FOI Administrator you will be able to ensure a confidential, efficient, and comprehensive administrative support members of the public, and other types of requesters.
Confidence in the use of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel and Word is essential, as well as the ability to adapt to new IT technology.
The role involves working on a wide variety of administrative tasks which include, but are not limited to:
Answering incoming team telephone calls.
Monitoring the FOI Mailbox for requests, as well as the FOI online system.
Liaising with requesters, and responders within the Trust, to collate information in preparation for the FOI responses.
Logging FOI requests, received from the public, assigning to teams for response, monitoring progress, collating the information from responders, formatting response, and submitting to requester s

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
