Description:
Peppers Beach Club & Spa, situated in the idyllic beach side destination of Palm Cove, located just 30 minutes’ drive north of Cairns in Tropical North Queensland is described as plantation meets beach chic! This Property is iconic in the Accor TNQ portfolio, with over 100 rooms in letting.
Purpose
As Food & Beverage Manager you will assume full responsibility for managing every facet of our food and beverage department encompassing areas such as the restaurant, bar, conferencing, and events. This role offers you a unique platform to demonstrate your exceptional leadership abilities and talent for providing extraordinary guest experiences that will leave a lasting impression.
The Role & Location
- Oversee all Food & Beverage operations at La Mesa, which includes seating for up to 80 guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as managing the On the Rocks swim-up pool bar and bespoke conferencing facilities catering to up to 100 guests
- This position offers the opportunity to sponsor under the FNQ DAMA Visa for the right applicant
- When not working enjoy the tranquillity of the region. Experience day trips to nearby islands, snorkel and dive the Great Barrier Reef or stroll the local markets, embracing the FNQ lifestyle
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the Food & Beverage Department and develop innovative and insightful strategies for optimising guest experience and revenue growth opportunities
- Leverage your extensive expertise to guide and mentor your team, ensuring they consistently craft memorable moments
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef in creating menus, wine lists, and beverage offerings
- Manage all administrative and planning aspects of the department, including but not limited to scheduling, reporting, package and promotion development, recruitment, personnel management, inventory management, and ordering
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience as either a Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant Food & Beverage Manager in a large resort environment
- Robust leadership skills to engage, inspire, and cultivate your team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere
- Proven track record in managing budgets, overseeing inventory, and creating staff schedules
- Effective communicator with adept skills in stakeholder management, both internally and externally
- Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritisation and a keen sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when faced with high-pressure situations
- Possession of a valid QLD RSA
