ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an inspiring and dynamic leader to drive our Food and Beverage program at The Well, combining strategic vision with proven expertise in high-volume, restaurant and cocktail bar settings. Tonic Bar operates as a multifunctional concept, offering smoothies, coffee, and grab-and-go options, while Tonic House, located at The Well, expands on this with a dedicated attendant, creating a day-to-night destination for workspace, cocktails, snacks, and community events. Together, Tonic Bar and Tonic House are central to our mission of elevating fitness and wellness in Canada.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Recruitment & Management: Recruit, train, and lead a team of Tonic Bar Team Members, Team Leads, and Tonic House Bartenders. Consistently model exceptional leadership by fostering a positive, communicative, and professional work environment, while providing coaching and support for team development.
- Scheduling & Workforce Planning: Create and manage weekly schedules for the entire team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for both Tonic Bar and Tonic House operations.
- Operational Excellence: Effectively manage time and allocate resources for both Tonic Bar and Tonic House, with a specific focus on driving after-hours success at Tonic House’s cocktail bar. Demonstrate expertise in operating equipment such as espresso machines, POS systems (Square), fridges, and food prep equipment. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in cafe, dining, and kitchen areas.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory tracking of all food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and efficiently used. Conduct monthly inventory counts to manage stock accurately and investigate variances.
- Concept & Menu Development: Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage to craft a long-term vision for Tonic House at The Well, incorporating seasonal promotions, menu specials, live DJs, and brand partnerships. Work on quarterly menu adjustments to cater to seasonal trends and boost sales. Partner with the Corporate Sales and Events Manager and Studio Managers to coordinate events and team training.
- P&L Management: Collaborate closely with the Director Food and Beverage Manager to achieve monthly financial performance goals, including profitability, cost control, and sales growth.
