The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800’s AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.
We are currently looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Truly Talented team.

THE CORE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO SUCCEED

  • Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
  • Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
  • Excellent personal presentation;
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
  • Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
  • To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
    You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.

Responsibilities:

Serving Magic on Plates: As a food and beverage assistant, you’ll be the maestro of meal delivery. Picture yourself gracefully gliding through our hotel, carrying trays laden with deliciousness. You’ll serve food and drinks to guests with a smile, ensuring their taste buds do a happy dance.
Setting the Scene: Before the feast begins, you’ll help set the stage. That means arranging tables, laying out cutlery, and making sure the ambiance is just right.
Order Whisperer: Guests will share their culinary desires with you. “I’ll have the lasagna, please.” “A cappuccino with extra foam!” Your job is to translate these wishes into reality. You’ll relay orders to the kitchen or bar, ensuring precision and promptness.
Cash Flow Control: Handling payments is part of your magical repertoire. You’ll make sure the bill is accurate, process payments smoothly.
Menu Mastery: Know your menu, guests might ask about ingredients, dietary options, or recommendations. You’ll be their guide, describing dishes with enthusiasm and flair.
