Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Lead the F&B Events operations team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel and ensuring processes are in place to develop staff.
- Hands-on management of the day to day floor operations of the Food and Beverage department.
- Drive a positive and supportive team culture.
- Quality control of front of house delivery and F&B logistics, including maintaining and managing inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure budget and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Establish and set targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures.
- Ensure high levels of food safety compliance are in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining the standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.
- Work closely with all key Hotel operational departments to ensure service execution whilst groups and functions/events are in house and in turn ensuring consistent clients satisfaction.
- Manage procurement for the venue ensuring cost of food and beverage consumption does not exceed the established target.
- Manage all maintenance protocols (preventive and repairs).
- Management of contractors and supplier relationships and contract deliverables
You will succeed in this role if you bring:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train and manage front of house staff
- Demonstrated experience in managing food and beverage outlets in a fast-paced environment
- A go-getter attitude, and the ability to think on your feet
- Solid business acumen and a drive for results
- Administrative skills for effective management and achievement of financial targets, including rostering, compliance and COGS/stock.
