QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous management experience in Food & Beverage within a Hotel/Resort required
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage Management an asset
- Excellent command of the English language – written and verbal (other languages an asset)
- Ability to guide, direct, and prioritize workload in a potentially stressful environment
- Passion for customer service and commitment to exceeding guest expectations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and the understanding of when tact and discretion are necessary to handle both Team Member and guest issues with quick and effective resolutions
- An excellent trainer, comfortable with all levels of coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Ability to promote the brand and act as destination and resort ambassador
- Experience with Point-of-Sales systems an asset (Agilysys, Micros)
- Strong administration (Scheduling, Payroll, Inventory), cash handling, and computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the demands of a busy resort hotel operation
- Highly energetic, responsible and reliable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Appreciation for diverse multicultural environment both with staff and clientele
- Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, carry/lift/balance heavy items/trays
- Food Safe (Level 1) and BC Serving It Right certifications required (training can be provided)
Responsibilities:
The Food & Beverage Outlets Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Food & Beverage division and all F&B Outlets, including the Cinnamon Bear (Bar/Lounge, and Dining Room), In-Room Dining (Room Service), and the Café. The F&B Manager may also be required to lead or assist with the daily operation of the Banqueting & Events team. Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, the F&B Manager will assist with coordinating and directing all aspects of the F&B Division to achieve and maximize profitability, guest satisfaction, and efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of service and quality standards.
