Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyers Admin Assistant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to start their career in the buying sector. While prior experience in food buying is not essential, it is considered desirable.
As a Buyers Admin Assistant, you will support the buying team with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department. You will work closely with suppliers, assist with order management, and help maintain accurate records and data.
Salary: £28,000
Hours: Full-time - 40 hours
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the buying team, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and handling general inquiries.
- Assist with raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring that all documentation is up to date and accurate.
- Accurately input and maintain product and supplier data within internal systems. Generate reports and assist in analyzing data to support buying decisions.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, track shipments, and resolve any delivery or invoice issues.
- Help monitor stock levels and assist in managing inventory, ensuring timely reorders and minimal disruptions.
- Organize and manage product samples, ensuring they are received, logged, and distributed to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with gathering market insights, competitor analysis, and product research to support the buying team in decision-making.
- Support the team with additional tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.
