Description:
Summary
The Egg Processor will work as part of the team ensuring the company’s policies and procedures are followed. Responsibilities of an Egg Processor will include transferring ungraded eggs from carts or pallets to the loader; complete and record grade checks as required; packing eggs on carts or into boxes; and work area clean up. The individual in this position will assist in shipping if required stamping boxes and palletizing product
Schedule
The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Weekend and holiday work may be required based on operational requirements.
Position Accountabilities
- Transferring un-graded eggs from carts or pallets to the loader unit
- Recording of wash water temperature and ph balance cleaning buffers
- Pack eggs on carts or into boxes egg grade checks
- Loading and unloading of eggs and packing supplies
- Cleaning and sweeping of buildings
- Cleaning equipment and egg related areas
- Building pallets for shipping to the breaker plant
- Weighing, listing, and labelling of pallets when completed
- Packing good quality products with high attention to detail to meet the needs of our customers
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping all protected and proprietary information confidential
- Practice bio-security protocols
- Follow all safety processes and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in the agricultural industry preferable.
- Experience in food processing preferred
