JOB DESCRIPTION
Aramark is a world leader in the provision of award-winning food services and has an immediate opening for a Food Service Manager at our culinary operations at a large Woodstock manufacturing facility. This is a Monday – Friday DAY shift with the occasional Saturday required.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for the industry, as well as the know how to build, direct, and manage a team. Successful applicants will be skilled in organization, professionalism, and giving direction. QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 2-3 years management experience in a food service environment
- Must have own transportation as public transit is not available on-site
- Current work schedule is Monday – Friday from 7AM – 4PM and the occasional Saturday
- Self-directed with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members
- Strong organizational and team building skills with a demonstrated ability to mitigate issues
- Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Power Point and Word
- Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Experience with scheduling and hiring
- Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the food services, includes delegating tasks, motivating and coaching up to 15 hourly employees as required
- Meet daily with the Manager to discuss operational and staffing concerns
- Assist with flow of day-to-day operations on the floor; assist with catered events as required
- Supervise and direct food production planning, waste management, record keeping, follow up, and modification based on business volumes
- Ensure food safety standards and HACCP are always enforced
- Proactively manage food and labor cost controls
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and orientation of staff
- Responsible to assist in staff scheduling and filling shifts as needed
- Assist in dealing with staff related issues such as vacation requests, progressive discipline, etc.
- Responsible for supervising cash handling procedures - balance cash float, safe, and verify deposit
- Resolve customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the Manager as necessary
- Ensure adherence to all of ARAMARK’s Policies and Procedures
- Ensure adherence to ARAMARK’s Health and Safety Policy
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
