JOB DESCRIPTION
Aramark is a world leader in the provision of award-winning food services and has an immediate opening for a Food Service Manager at our culinary operations at a large Woodstock manufacturing facility. This is a Monday ? Friday DAY shift with the occasional Saturday required.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for the industry, as well as the know how to build, direct, and manage a team. Successful applicants will be skilled in organization, professionalism, and giving direction. QUALIFICATIONS
? A minimum of 2-3 years management experience in a food service environment
? Must have own transportation as public transit is not available on-site
? Current work schedule is Monday ? Friday from 7AM ? 4PM and the occasional Saturday
? Self-directed with strong interpersonal and communication skills
? Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members
? Strong organizational and team building skills with a demonstrated ability to mitigate issues
? Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Power Point and Word
? Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
? Experience with scheduling and hiring
? Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
? Supervise the day-to-day operations of the food services, includes delegating tasks, motivating and coaching up to 15 hourly employees as required
? Meet daily with the Manager to discuss operational and staffing concerns
? Assist with flow of day-to-day operations on the floor; assist with catered events as required
? Supervise and direct food production planning, waste management, record keeping, follow up, and modification based on business volumes
? Ensure food safety standards and HACCP are always enforced
? Proactively manage food and labor cost controls
? Assist with the recruitment, training, and orientation of staff
? Responsible to assist in staff scheduling and filling shifts as needed
? Assist in dealing with staff related issues such as vacation requests, progressive discipline, etc.
? Responsible for supervising cash handling procedures - balance cash float, safe, and verify deposit
? Resolve customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the Manager as necessary
? Ensure adherence to all of ARAMARK?s Policies and Procedures
? Ensure adherence to ARAMARK?s Health and Safety Policy
? Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
