Job Summary: The Foodservice Region Sales Director is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing customer relationships within the South-Central United States. The successful candidate will oversee a territory comprising Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in foodservice sales, particularly in dealings with major distributors like SYSCO, US Foods, PFG, and independent distributors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice sales.
- Proven track record of success in dealing with major distributors like SYSCO, US Foods, PFG, and independent distributors.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to execute plans effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, sales analytics and CRM software.
- Culinary experience is a plus
Preferred Location: Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; San Antonio, TX or Oklahoma City, OK are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share within the assigned territory.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure targets are met.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including SYSCO, US Foods, PFG, and independent distributors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major customers, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing broker sales team to achieve regional sales objectives.
- Provide ongoing training and support to sales representatives to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Analyze sales data and market insights to make informed business decisions.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the regional sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
