Job Summary: The Foodservice Region Sales Director is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing customer relationships within the South-Central United States. The successful candidate will oversee a territory comprising Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in foodservice sales, particularly in dealings with major distributors like SYSCO, US Foods, PFG, and independent distributors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice sales.
  • Proven track record of success in dealing with major distributors like SYSCO, US Foods, PFG, and independent distributors.
  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute plans effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, sales analytics and CRM software.
  • Culinary experience is a plus
    Preferred Location: Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; San Antonio, TX or Oklahoma City, OK are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure targets are met.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including SYSCO, US Foods, PFG, and independent distributors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major customers, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing broker sales team to achieve regional sales objectives.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to sales representatives to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data and market insights to make informed business decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Budget Management:
  • Manage the regional sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
