Job Title: Football Development Coordinator
Duration of contract: One year fixed-term contract - further extension subject to success of the programme
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
Salary: £25,000
Location: Primarily based at Loftus Road Stadium but work will involve travel to various ADP venues across West London
Reports to: Football Development Manager (ADP)
Department: QPR in the Community Trust

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Driving License and access to a vehicle (desirable)
  • UEFA B Licence (desirable)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)
  • In-date DBS / Safeguarding Children / First Aid certificates

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a football development / officer role
  • Experience of working with ‘elite’ or ‘advanced’ youth football players
  • Ability to plan innovative and engaging football sessions
  • Knowledge of grassroots / academy football structure

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Football Development Coordinator will work across the Football Development department, primarily coordinating and delivering on the Advanced Development Programme. The Football Development Coordinator will lead specifically on the planning and development of the practical delivery within the ADP and its related projects.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-ordinate the day to day running of the Advanced Development Programme (ADP) sessions and delivery. This is to include (not exhaustive to):
  • Lead on practical delivery at all Advanced Development Programme (ADP) evening sessions
  • Create and implement an updated and innovative coaching philosophy and syllabus for the ADP alongside the Football Development Manager
  • Lead on ADP coach quality assurance programme and assist Football Development Manager with ongoing coach CPD and training
  • Lead on the player report process for all ADP players
  • Oversee management, transportation and distribution of ADP kit and equipment, ensuring regular stock checks are undertaken
  • Oversee player pathway, ensuring appropriate opportunities are offered to players exiting or progressing through the ADP
  • Work collaboratively with the Football Development Manager and Football Development Officer to develop an extensive half term games programme and half term training programme
  • Work collaboratively with the Football Development Officer on the ADP trial process, ensuring opportunities are offered to players in the local community to join the programme at regular intervals throughout the season
  • Assist the Football Development Manager (ADP) with overall management and growth of the programme. This is to include (not exhaustive to):
  • Assist in the management and development of the Football Development Officer and any other ADP contracted and sessional staff
  • Sourcing new business and sponsorship opportunities for the ADP
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of any ADP International tours or training camps
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of the end of season ’QPR Cup’
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the ADP department to ensure any administrative duties are undertaken to the highest of standards. Assist FDM and support FDO in using platforms such as Sports Fusion, Coaching Temp, Outlook, Players Elite and E-Requester to ensure the process from booking to session is as smooth as possible for parents, players, coaches and stakeholders
  • Ensure that suitable progression pathways are available for young people to reach their potential. This will involve linking and maintaining a relationship with relevant schools and clubs.
  • When required, provide cover and assistance for other coaching staff across all boroughs/areas that the Trust operates. This cover may extend to attending meetings, conferences, workshops and events if required.
  • Develop a range of sport-based activities that are structured, progressive, fun and of a high quality, in a safe environment, which are accessible to all targeted young people.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate all sessions, activities and programmes and adapt delivery accordingly, contributing to the input into Views/Salesforce monitoring system.
