Inviting applications for the role of Forecasting Planner – Manager – English – Hybrid Katowice
Key to this role is the creation and maintenance of the statistical forecast for the portfolio for all time horizons.
Responsibilities
o Ensure statistical / sensed forecasts are created for the whole of their portfolio considering demand drivers at the agreed hierarchy level
o Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast performance
o Monitor and report on specific KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, forecast BIAS, MAPE, forecast value add) at multiple levels and lags and provide insights on contributing factors and improvement opportunities
o Monitor performance of assigned portfolio, team capabilities, tools & techniques
o Guide the team on scenario modeling. AI techniques and data usage
o For new product introductions, analyze proposal of like-SKU and collaborate with Demand Planners to generate the initial forecasts, additionally consider cannibalization impacts
o Optimize and tune statistical forecasts, updating system parameters after conducting the necessary analysis to identify improvement opportunities
o Track and monitor changes to allow for continuous improvement
Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math or other relevant degree
  • Strong understand of at least advanced planning systems and its functionality, e.g. Kinaxis, o9 Solutions
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in Forecasting (Statistical Techniques, Collaboration Scenario Modeling, Parameters modeling)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to immediately contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of client focus
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn
