Description:
Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Service Foreman reporting to our London Peterbilt location.
The successful applicant for this position will be responsible to help ensure: customer repair estimates are sent in a timely manner, customers are provided with a high level of customer service and communication, repair timelines and updates are shared with the customer, office and shop, invoicing and work in process control goals are met, warranty return cases and goodwill policy cases are supported, customer requests and resolutions are a high priority, technicians are coached, guided and mentored, technicians are managed to work efficiently while making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise the work of service leadhands, service technicians and service writers
- Responsible for the organization of the work performed and quality control
- Maintain an organized, clean work environment
- Coach, advise and mentor technicians and service writers
- Ensure technician efficiency is obtained and maintained
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Communicate and work effectively with customers, teammates, and other branch personnel
- Establish and maintain an on-call field schedule
- Converse with the customers and operators on the phone, email, or in person
- Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
- Open and close work orders, prepare work orders for warranty
- Provide a best in class customer service experience
- Other duties as required

Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills required
- Candidates must be willing to be available after-hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Required Experience
- Previous mechanical experience in a transportation environment is an asset
- Certified Journeyman in the truck and coach equipment trade or equivalent designated trade is an asset
- Experience in a service department setting required
- Familiarity with Peterbilt and competitive products preferred
- Forklift license preferred
