Description:
BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW
BAM Nuttall is currently involved in a major energy project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete, bulk earthworks and infrastructure on one of the UK’s largest projects.
We now require several General Foreman, Foreman and Section Foreman with relevant experience of Heavy Civils.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE:
- Successful experience within Civil Engineering environment
- Knowledge of safety legislation and environment issues
- Able to develop and promote safe systems of work
- Good people management skills and experience in team building
- Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

- Advocate for the observance of hazards and reporting concerns, utilising safety observation cards
- Promote the reporting of technical issues and quality defects
- Encourage immediate intervention by your team members to address unsafe situations
- Ensure your workforce is aware that they have the authority to stop work if they perceive safety issues
- Uphold a just culture and ensure compliance with HPC grievance and disciplinary procedures
- Demonstrate respect for the safety of yourself and others
- Act as an ambassador for the project within the community through your behaviour
- Prohibit discrimination, harassment, or anti-social behaviour
- Maintain tidy and rubbish-free private accommodations
- Observe appropriate noise levels based on the time of day
- Protect community property from damage
- Prohibit the use of illegal drugs or substances, and address excessive alcohol-related behaviour
- Respect speed limits and exhibit consideration for other road users, agricultural vehicles, and livestock
