Description:
DAY- TO-DAY OPERATIONS:
Request / Order and ensure adequate tools, equipment, consumables, PPE ,Janitorial etc. in stock are in accordance with the operational demands
Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders.
Safe storage, control and monitoring of all items in the stores.
Maintain and monitor the inventory list, significant shortfall of items if any to be communicated to department heads for immediate action.
Ensure that the personnel attending the counter maintaining healthy relationship with the workforce
Ensure that all items issued from stores are validated and tested
Monitor the department target for the budget and control ordering accordingly.
Provide assistance to Managers in preparing CAPEX / OPEX
Monitor and ensure timely and proper maintenance of tools.
Mentor and train subordinates to act as a store in charge in your absence.
Liaise and maintain healthy relationship with other department stores for drawing items temporarily in case of shortage and for emergency use.
Maintain all documentations related to stores as per the company directives
Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
Ensure that the workers are supplied with right machineries, tools, equipment related to their job
Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
Proactive participation in identifying errors and effective reporting through NCIR system
Train, motivate, appraise and provide feedback on training requirements to uplift the skill of subordinates
Attend any training for any activity required by department
Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work
EDUCATION/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or equivalent Graduate or equivalent
Warehouse stock control system, material coding and manual handling./Bookkeeping, Inventory Control and Tool Storage.
Familiarization with Mechanical and Electrical equipment repair.
Familiarization in store audit and stock count.
Good skill in budget analysis and maintaining stocks with minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse as a Store in charge./3 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, new building or ship repair as a store keeper.
Familiarity with materials/tools relating to a marine environment is essential.
Sound knowledge of computerized stock control methods & warehouse procedures.
Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
Proficiency use of MS office & ERP system
