DESCRIPTION:

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Foreperson to join our dynamic team for projects in Dublin and Wexford. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to bring their expertise to some of the most ambitious projects in Ireland today.
You will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations on our civil engineering projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality, on time, and within budget. You will lead and motivate a team on-site, coordinating activities and liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients to achieve project goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Foreperson on civil engineering projects, preferably within Ireland or the UK.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach to team management.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Full Irish driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise on-site teams, including tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and to specifications.
  • Coordinate daily activities, liaising with project managers, engineers, and planners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
  • Enforce health and safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Order and allocate materials, tools, and equipment as needed, and monitor usage.
  • Identify and address any site issues swiftly to minimise delays or disruptions.
