We are now looking for a Forest IT Solution Architect in UPM Forest IT Business Services. The position is located in Tampere, Finland.

What you will do
- Analyze and interpret business requirements and ensure that the planned IT solutions align with both business and IT goals together with business and IT service owners
- Design solution architecture together with other IT architects, including comprehensive technology solutions that address specific business challenges
- Create technical documentation and architectural diagrams
- Guide and enhance the development process, tools, and ways of working
- Evaluate and select suitable technologies, platforms, and frameworks to build the solution
- Support solution transition to continuous support and contribute to solution improvements as part of the solution lifecycle
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout solution development cycles
Who you are
- You have a relevant educational background e.g. Master’s degree in Information Technology
- You have extensive knowledge of modern cloud and database technologies used in business IT solutions
- You have a comprehensive understanding and experience of IT Architecture, and you are continuously seeking for opportunities to improve and challenge status quo
- You possess notable skills in impacting others and communicating, coupled with a solid sense of motivation and accountability
- You have great self-leadership skills and a good track record of leading development teams
- You are fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are seen as an asset
- Certificate in IT Service management, project management, solution design or IT architectures are highly valued
