Compensation: $22/hr - $26/hr
Come Grow with Us! Forsite is actively looking for Forest Technicians with general understanding and experience with British Columbia forestry practices, based out of our Prince George, Fort St. John, BC

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A safety conscious attitude;
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 3 years of related field experience;
  • Broad understanding of general forestry practices; and
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:

The Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cut block engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner. This is a field-based position that has the potential for out of town and camp work.
