Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master of Science in a forest related discipline (ecology, fire, etc.) to allow for cross-teaching into the Bachelor of Ecosystem Management. A Master of Science in-progress will also be considered. The successful candidate will require a minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry with significant years of field experience in forest management and fire management. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills necessary to contribute positively to a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master of Science or PhD.

Responsibilities:
Lethbridge Polytechnic (formerly Lethbridge College) offers a student-centered environment that provides practical and innovative learning experiences. Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Centre for Technology, Environment & Design (CTED), the successful candidate will be responsible for instruction, curriculum development, and for fostering relationships with the broader community. The successful candidate will fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Full-time Faculty Position contract as identified by the Lethbridge College Faculty Association collective agreement;
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development and scholarship;
- Contribute to the goals and activities of CTED;
- Support inclusiveness and diversity through embracing the Lethbridge Polytechnic’s policies on indigenization and internationalization
The primary assignment will be within the Renewable Resource Management (RRM), Environmental Assessment & Restoration (EAR), Natural Resource Compliance (NRC), and the Bachelor of Ecosystem Management (ECM) programs. Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering courses congruent with established course curricula and program outcomes;
- Supporting the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles;
- Assessing student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards;
- Contributing to course and program curriculum development and renewal;
- Working collegially within the School, Centre or College committees and project teams
