Ray-Mont Logistics is a dynamic organization focused on becoming the essential link in the international business logistics supply chain. We provide various operational logistics services such as loading, transportation and storage of surplus products.
Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking a permanent full time Forklift Operator to join its vibrant team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for efficiently and safely handling the reception, inventory, and movement of various forestry and agricultural products using both small and large forklifts/grapples.
Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, evening shift from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. There are overtime opportunities, including weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 to 3 years’ Experience driving a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Experience with both small and large forklifts and grapples/ clamp lift preferred.
- Consciousness of space and ability to operate the forklift in tight spaces.
- Valid forklift certification (an asset)
- Ability to lift heavy objects (less than 100 pounds) and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Required skills include autonomy, meticulousness, organization and speed of execution.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures
Work Environment: You’ll be outdoors for the entirety of your shift, seated comfortably inside a machine that is both heated and cooled.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the opening of railcar hoppers using the forklift;
- Operate small and large forklifts or grapples to handle incoming and outgoing forestry and agricultural products daily (approximately 70% of the job)
- Receive and verify the accuracy of shipments and accurate inventory records.
- Unload and transship palletized or ground-loaded goods, ensuring goods are properly secured and placed.
- Safely transport materials to stack and store products in designated areas.
- Inspect forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with other general tasks and duties as assigned.
