JOB SUMMARY:
Support the supply chain through unloading and loading of customer
goods, and operating technical equipment to optimize loading
and/or unloading for efficient logistics, as well as supporting other
warehouse functions to ensure optimal company operations.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Ability to operate equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
- Basic understanding or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make solid decisions related to inventory
management.
- Strong decision-making ability.
- Teamwork.
- Customer orientation (internal and external).
- Initiative.
- Adaptability to change
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Basic math, language, and reading skills.
- Minimum of one year prior experience as a forklift operator.
- Completion of forklift driving course, a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.
- Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to react quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away

Responsibilities:
- Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations, this includes, customer goods, HAZMAT material, inbound material, domestic material, and/or machinery and equipment.
- Completes daily logs for loading, unloading, and delivery of merchandise to track goods in and out and ensure timely delivery to respective teams.
- Ensures proper loading of goods without damage, verifying entry labels found on dispatch authorization.
- Performs loading and unloading of merchandise within required timeframes (45 minutes or less).
Assigns dock doors for inspection, loading, and/or unloading using forklifts, pallet jacks,
and/or manual methods as needed.
Places inbound and HAZMAT goods in designated areas within the warehouse.
Utilizes protective gear and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; upon
delivery, removes strapping and wrapping, then disposes of waste materials safely in
designated containers or areas.
Reports to their supervisor, technical or mechanical failures of forklifts and dock doors to supervisor by completing daily checklists.
- Group merchandise according to dispatch authorization assigned by warehouse specialist.
- Identifies and reports safety hazards in the workplace to the supervisor.
Reports warehouse equipment damages or discrepancies upon arrival of goods before
they are received and/or unloaded from units.
Always wears personal protective equipment and adheres to safety guidelines for forklift
use.
Maintains a clean work area following 7s procedure.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
