POSITION OVERVIEW: FORMULATION SCIENTIST

Are you an enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated scientist looking for an exciting new role? Join our small molecule formulation team at AstraZeneca’s vibrant R&D site in Gothenburg. Here, you’ll work alongside dedicated professionals and experts in formulation science to drive our projects forward and deliver meaningful results.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• MSc degree in formulation science, pharmaceutical technology, chemical engineering, or a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience in formulation or related product development, with strong laboratory skills.
• Technical knowledge in drug product formulation development for oral and/or parenteral delivery.
• Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory frameworks is preferred.

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong focus on delivery, utilizing scientific and innovative thinking to solve problems.
• Genuine enthusiasm for experimental work and hands-on problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

• Conduct lab-based experimental work, supporting project teams with scientific expertise in formulation development.
• Develop and deliver various formulation systems for oral and parenteral use, focusing on liquid formulations to support projects from preclinical to clinical phases.
• Engage in essential characterization work, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance drug delivery capabilities, keeping a broader perspective for innovative solutions.
