Job Description
Brief Overview:
The Project Manager is accountable for the overall project performance, planning and development including, cost, quality, safety, and schedule for Mono Forming. They maintain excellent relationships with the site team, owners, subcontractors, suppliers and the public. The Project Manager provides leadership and mentorship to the Mono Forming team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the estimators for pricing, costing and planning of potential projects
  • Generation and submission of tender pricing for new work to ensure profitability in a competitive market
  • Orders formwork materials and coordinates formwork deliveries and ensures materials are as per specifications.
  • Award & manage subcontractors & supplier agreements to ensure the complete project scope is captured. Negotiate and issue subcontracts and monitor their progress, schedule, and risk of default.
  • Accountable for creating, reviewing and submitting all required formwork contract documents including, Shop Drawings and Request’s for Information.
  • Oversight of project schedule and reviews. Ensuring compliance by all parties with the schedule. Regular schedule progress reporting and updates oversight.
  • Ensures that the Mono Forming team is efficient, and tasks are completed on time. Making sure the team is “Doing what we are saying we will do”. Provides mentorship and feedback to the project team regarding expectations and can delegate accordingly.
  • Accountable for project profitability including the budget/ cost control system preparation, maintenance, and forecasting. This includes all subcontract, supplier and labour hours.
  • Enforces contractual responsibilities and resolves disputes. Ensures formwork is completed in compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Management of close-out documents including archiving and producing final project reports.
  • Liaise with the accounting team in preparing the monthly project billing and cash flow projections. Ensure supplier invoices are approved and tracks costs to ensure budgets are maintained.
  • Receive and distribute Site Instructions to ensure Work is in compliance with the latest drawings
  • Handle all change orders, including identification, tracking and administration. Process and assess cost and schedule impact.
  • Supervises and manages the Mono team, subcontractors and suppliers. Coordinate Mono Forming team with overall site interactions.
  • Promotes a team atmosphere to give the most opportunity for the team to learn from each other.
  • General administrative and additional duties will be required.
  • Collaborates with the superintendent to establish the major construction work plans and engineering methods. Evaluates and approves construction methods.
  • Develops and puts the Project Execution Plan in place (including project procedures, project and contract requirements) and ensures it is communicated and understood.
  • Identifies, tracks, and mitigates risk. Ensuring scope is covered and risks are allocated to the appropriate parties.
  • Accountable for the hiring, disciplinary, terminations and scheduling of Labour for work to meet the project schedule and budget.
  • Interacts and Coordinates with Liuna Loal 183 for project requirements and future expectations.
