Description:
The research group “Bioeconomy Economics” of the School of Business, Economics and
Information Systems (Dr Terese Venus) invites applications for the position of
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The student research assistant, who is ideally studying the M.Sc. International Economics and Business,
M.A. Development Studies, M.A. International Cultural and Business Studies or M.A. Geography degree
programme, will support the EU-financed project entitled “WATERWISE: Co-designing sustainable
management solutions for resilient Alpine headwaters”, which aims to support a climate-resilient and
green Alpine region. Climate change is increasingly impacting on mountain headwaters (HW), which
constitute the main source of freshwater in the Alpine region. Considerable changes in water availability
and quality pose significant challenges for Alpine communities and have profound implications for the
ecosystem services on which they depend. You will focus on socio-economic impacts of climate change
on Alpine water sources.
Responsibilities:
• Support research activities including literature research, data retrieval, data preparation and
analysis, and follow-up-survey preparation.
- Assist with organisational tasks related to the project and provide logistical fieldwork support.
