Description:
Company Description
Kadmos is changing the way international workers receive their paychecks. We are bringing FinTech, low margins, and transparent FX to industries riddled with opaque mark-ups, kickbacks, and physical cash transactions.
First up, workers with deepest pain points: crew on merchant and cruise ships aka seafarers. Kadmos is building technology to make their payroll cheaper and easier, adding features to help attract and retain them as employees. We are changing seafarer payroll by bringing in easy-to-use software, disintermediation, and cost-efficiency.
Job Description
We are looking for a Founders Associate (m/f/x), to work directly with the 2 co-founders. You will get a lot of freedom, which naturally comes with responsibility. You will be in the cockpit of a start-up being built from scratch, helping to execute our vision. Expect to be thrown at problems all over the company: source our next hire, improve our customer pitch, iterate on the deck for the next VC round, model our FX exposure, hop on the phone when a corporate forgets their password, plan our team event.
Qualifications
- You completed a Bachelor/Master/MBA degree from a top university in a social science or STEM subject
- Genuine interest in entrepreneurship!
- You are pro-active and ambitious, armed with good communication skills and a passion to change the world!
- You love solving problems and building things from scratch. Where there is no established way to do something, you find a way. Where there is an established way, you question it – relentlessly. You have a growth-oriented mindset and are open to a transparent culture.
- You are fluent in English (German would be useful, but absolutely not a must - Kadmos is English-speaking).
- You have proven your skills in fast-paced and ambiguous environments: Whether you excel at modeling quantitative decisions, are a natural people-person, forget time designing slides, or want to support our engineering process - just show us how you will add to the team!
- Nice to have: Previous work experience(s) in high-growth venture-backed startup, project management, or consulting.
