We are an innovative company dedicated to creating impactful solutions in the clean tech sector. Our mission is to drive sustainable change through pioneering technologies and business models. We are currently building a venture in the cleantech space alongside a strategic corporate partner and are looking for a Senior Venture Builder who has the potential to become a co-founder of this exciting new venture.
As a Founder, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing, developing, and launching a successful cleantech venture. You will work closely with a team of other people to transform an innovative idea into a viable business model, leveraging your expertise and background in the cleantech/climate industry. Joining us as a founder from the very start, you will shape the direction and success of this transformative new venture.
Key Responsibilities

Ideation and Validation

• Collaborate with the project lead to guide the ideation and validation of a new cleantech product/solution
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
• Engage with customer segments via qualitative and quantitative methods to understand their needs

• Define and scope technical challenges to develop innovative solutionsUnderstand how to best leverage the assets of our corporate partner to create a competitive advantage

Development and Strategy

• Develop and implement business strategies, product roadmaps, and go-to-market plans that align with the partner’s strategic objectives
• Lead the development and implementation of business plans, including market entry strategies, revenue models, and risk mitigation plans for new ventures

• Work with a cross-functional team to design and build a new product/solution using agile methodologiesOversee the technical development process, ensuring product viability and scalability

Leadership and Management

• Provide strategic direction and leadership alongside the project lead
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Engage with investors, partners, and other stakeholders to secure funding and strategic support
• Co-create and present business plans and progress reports to senior management and partners
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry experts, customers, and partners
• Co-create an investment note communicating the insights generated to obtain corporate board endorsement.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
• Proven experience in building and scaling successful products, preferably in the cleantech sector
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of launching and growing new ventures
• Deep understanding of the cleantech industry, including emerging trends and technologies
• Technical expertise in product development within the cleantech/climate sector.
• Leadership, team-building and project management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adaptable to shifting priorities
• Preferably, an advanced degree or MBA is a plus, with a strong network within the clean tech/climate community
