Description:
Hello, we’re Severn Trent and we think water is wonderful. Oh, we’re pretty keen on people too.
24 hours a day, 365 days a year we serve 4.8 million households and business across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drank and every toilet flushed is only possible because of the 6,500 brilliant team members working across our patch.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.
If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We have an exciting new opportunity as a FP&A Analyst working from our Coventry office, where you will help establish and embed our AMP8 business planning programme, transforming the way we set annual and 5-year investment programmes across the business.
The role will be central to ensuring that our £13bn AMP8 investment programme is efficient, aligned to our strategic priorities and adaptable to face into new opportunities that arise.
You will work closely with the wider Group FP&A team to ensure a seamless link between in-year reporting, 24-month rolling forecasts and the medium-term projection through to 2030 and form the basis for the longer-term strategic financial plan for the business.
Do you have a keen eye for detail, the ability to dive into a problem but know when to step out and want to learn and understand how our business works?
Well, if you do, read on.
Responsibilities:
This role will ultimately require you to be highly analytical and will require you to analyse and understand a variety of data sources including both financial and non-financial data. A proven ability to identify and interrogate relationships and interdependencies within data sets will be essential for success.
You will be a forward-thinking individual able to identify risks and opportunities within the programme, with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
We’re looking for someone who has a solid understanding of financial planning and previous experience within an FP&A team. Ideally you will hold professional qualifications like CIMA, ACCA, ACA or the equivalent experience.
Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
