The Finance Analyst FP&A is responsible for supporting Abcam’s FP&A function through consistent financial reporting and analysis.
This position reports to the Finance Business Partner FP&A and is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team located in Cambridge and will be on site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Part qualified/close to qualified accountant.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills (i.e. Excel).
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Experience with Oracle EPM

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Financial Analysis: Complete month end tasks for the corporate functions, including variance analysis, trend analysis, preparation of opex reports, posting required journals.
  • Decision Support: Provide ad hoc support to the FP&A central team on group wide data analysis, reporting and performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support Oracle (EPM) improvements – including testing, reviewing and being a super user amongst peers.
