Job Description
- Lead coordination and preparation of annual Plan and Update in accordance with Corporate rules and planning.
- Co-ordinate the Monthly Actual reporting and Monthly Latest Best Estimate to ensure timely reporting in line with corporate deadlines.
- Act as financial business partner to (site) senior management and consult stakeholders (e.g. Site Leadership Team and Directs) about finance related topics.
- Present financials (e.g. month-end results, monthly forecasts) to (site) senior management and to cost center managers.
- Lead coordination and preparation of monthly forecasts incorporating PPV, Operational variances, Cost Improvements, Volumes, Spend, Distressed Inventory and Project expenses.
- Ensure availability of Request for Capital Expenditure in accordance with Corporate guidelines and group financial policies
- Co-ordinate/participate in new projects/requests (e.g. new product transfers, make-or-buy decisions, product discontinuations, restructuring projects) from the Controller Operations. Act as project lead for finance-related topics.
- Participate and contribute to weekly Operations Team meetings.
- Maintain and report relevant key performance indicators.
- Actively promote and foster financial acumen in all areas of the business.
- Implementation and compliance with Group financial policies and corporate finance manuals, more especially, responsible for complete and adequate internal control.
- Develop and maintain internal control in accordance with Group policy, ensuring that all existing policies are adhered to, all changes are implemented in a timely manner and systems are optimized, while adhering to strict corporate internal controls.
- Support internal financial audits, external statutory year end audits.
- Ensure collaboration with other functional areas, establishing effective working relationships with business partners.
- Conduct business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, company policies and with high ethical standards.
- Continuous improvement: act as entrepreneur and actively drive process improvement projects
- Represent Director Controlling during absence, e.g. take decisions on finance-related matters, lead Controlling Operations team and give guidance on ad-hoc requests, act as deputy in Site Leadership Team
- Mentoring/ coaching of Controlling Operations team, e.g. talent development for trainees, onboarding of new colleagues, training of less experienced colleagues
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
- Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Familiarity with financial analysis software and tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.
- Knowledge
- Deep understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, and inventory management.
- Awareness of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to senior management.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurship and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Proven ability to lead and/or mentor team members.
- Strong collaborative skills, with experience working cross-functionally with various departments (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, IT, etc).
- Ability to manage stakeholders in a multi-national company.
