JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Amsterdam, Poznan, Hamburg.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The main purpose of this role is to partner with the Commercial, Operations, Business Development, PMO and Corporate service functions to establish and execute on short, medium and long term strategic financial plans of ADM Carbohydrates Solution Business Unit for the region and ensure its alignment with the global corporate strategy. This includes the annual strategic business plan, financial planning cycle, monthly financial forecasting, and tracking of key initiatives, and/or analytical support of financial results. The FPA Manager is also responsible to provide financial and business support by analyzing data, developing driver based financial plans, drawing conclusions and summarizing insights for Carbohydrates Solutions leaders globally making critical business decisions. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with senior management.
Position reports to Global FPA Director with a matrix line to the Carbohydrates Solutions EMEA Finance Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

This position also requires someone with initiative to solve problems and be a self-starter who is willing to follow through matters towards resolution and promptly escalate when necessary
- Graduated in Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting; MBA preferred
- 8-10 years+ experience in finance related areas
- Experience in consulting, FP&A, business finance, costing, controlling, and/or accounting is a plus
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, i.e. ability to analyze financial statements and DCF models
- Good understanding of commodity markets is a plus
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn about ADM’s and its competitors’ businesses – strong functional understanding of food and Ag industry is a plus
- Ability to manage multi-tasking & the expectations of various stakeholders
- Good organizational skills and action orientation
- Experience in HFM /SAP/ Business Intelligence / WDesk /Power BI is essential
Responsibilities:
- Support completion of the financial forecasts and plans:
- Medium Term Finance Plan (5 Year)
- Annual Business Plan
- Detailed business unit monthly financial forecasts
- Monthly performance deck to be used by ADM’s Executive Committee
- Provide analytical support to the business unit teams to understand business drivers of performance and how to improve performance, including intervention suggestions
- Preparation of Carbohydrates business unit performance review meetings
- Support & analyze ADM and Joint venture Plants’ manufacturing costing & efficiency analysis
- Support development and tracking of capital investment plans and budgets
- Partner across BU Leaders and finance organization to support key initiatives and drive actions that improve business unit performance
- Perform competitive benchmarking analyses of business unit performance, forecasts and budget
- Gather competitive intelligence from publicly available sources (e.g. competitors’ earning calls, investor conference presentations, etc.)
- Prepare for and participate in Carbohydrates Solutions leadership meetings, Pricing Councils, Manufacturing Councils and Innovation Councils.
- Review and analyze financial valuation models of ADM to generate insights and questions about the external perception of ADM’s financial performance
