The team
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Tower is part of Global Business Operations and act as a strategic finance business partner to the company top management. We co-pilot the market General Managers and Finance Directors to deliver balanced profitable growth for the company while protecting the company equation and assets. We deliver actionable insights through the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination of the planning cycle to deliver the company targets. Purpose of Role
This role supports the Global Travel organization of Diageo to win in market and to deliver the financial performance promise. The role operates global processes from Asia to the Americas demonstrating on a team of 7 dedicated individuals. The role needs to ensure outstanding month end process, OPEX (A&P and OVH) and direct cost (COGS) controlling and build environment of compliance and control that support the business in achieving its objectives while leading the risks.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive Financial Controlling agenda with month end closing activities, statutory reviews, and compliance for Global Travel
- Lead internal and external auditors in key periods
- Drives the monthly performance cycle and landing reviews.
- Responsible for the cost controlling of COGS, A&P and Overhead and driving the monthly performance cycle of those costs
- Work with business partners and collaborators to deliver the planning process in line with standards and timelines
- Lead a team of 7 and ensure outstanding performance and engagement on track
- Able to influence the decision-making process, support short-term strategy conversation.
- Continually work towards standard process and develop a culture for innovation and continuous improvement in service of continued efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting/ Business administration
- Qualified accountants are preferred (ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CPA)
- 7-8 years’ experience is management or financial accounting, Financial Performance & Analysis, and/or Financial Controlling experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with leading a team
- Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
- Commercial Acumen: Understand the whole business operation in detail and can see connections across departments to see the big picture. Aware of competitors for existing core business. Recognizes key trends and industry characteristics.Influencing: Build links with teams across business divisions markets. Consistent record to impact and influence, at a senior partner level, virtually across markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills.Effective Communication: Construct short story lines, adapt documents and presentations for the intended audience (complexity, detail, altitude). Presents material in a clear confident manner & leads non-verbal communication, in service to message.
