Description:
onsemi Ireland currently seeking an FPGA/Bench Digital Evaluation Engineer. This position will be based in the Limerick Design centre working on new product pre silicon validation of power controller devices. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to research the technical requirements, develop measurement systems and validate product functionality and performance to ensure our products meet all specifications.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering field with 3-10 yrs. experience in a relevant technical position that demonstrates the candidate’s capabilities and performance.
- Expert in FPGA design flow such as: Verification, Synthesis, Partitioning, Place & Route, and Timing Closure.
- Knowledge of interface protocols, memory technologies and communication interfaces (SPI, I2C).
- Strong understanding of the fundamental digital and analog circuit function.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and processor architectures.
Candidate must be highly motivated and able to demonstrate a history of independently solving technical problems and identifying electrical circuit performance issuesDemonstrated history of taking personal initiative to resolve issues and drive for results.

- Responsible for the specification and design of FPGA blocks.
- Design documentation including FPGA requirements, specifications, design descriptions, and test specifications.
- FPGA laboratory-based verification work, system integration and test.
- Support existing FPGA design verification and board test activities.
- Write, simulate & verify Verilog based FPGA designs.
- Proficiency with Python, C/C++ to enable simulation and bench test result analysis.
- Pre-Silicon verification of the design using simulation tools and FPGA.
