In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera® will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

As a Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) Software Engineer your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform research, designs, develops, and optimizes software tools that enable the use of FPGA.
- Develops and optimizes compilers, flows, assemblers, models, tools, runtimes, and/or firmware that are closely coupled to FPGA silicon, IP, and boards, while leveraging strong knowledge of FPGA hardware, logic design, board design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout.
- Designs, develops, and optimizes software abstractions and frameworks for acceleration with the FPGA for domains such as deep learning, DSP algorithms, or data analytics.
- Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD degree. Degrees and experience should be in a relevant field such as engineering or computer science.
- 2+ years C++ development experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with high-level design for FPGA.
- Experience with compiler development.
- Experience in hardware design.
