Description:

As the Production Planner, you will work directly with key stakeholders across fulfillment and corporate operations. You will own the execution of the underlying tools/models and analysis that help us expand operations and manage demand to ensure the best possible customer experience at the lowest cost. You will be a key ingredient in providing direction to production personnel to deliver a plan that is on-time and in full.

  • Knowledge of Cloud software systems - Warehouse Management Systems/Oracle/SAP and other Cloud based software
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite Products & Microsoft Office Software

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Some experience creating Production Plans & Schedules preferred
  • Demand Planning / Supply Planning background preferred but not required
  • Supply chain management and inventory control experience, negotiation skills, Microsoft Suite Office, Google Sheets proficiency.

Working Conditions: Work is primarily conducted in the office and food production environment. This position may require night, holiday and/or weekend work.

Responsibilities:

Objectives of this Role

  • Schedule and coordinate plant production schedules to meet internal and external customer order demand and forecasts, ensuring timely and quality production.
  • Plan and manage production schedules by analyzing inventory, demand, and forecasts to fulfill open orders and optimize production capacity.
  • Monitor inventory supply to identify and address potential shortages that may impact service delivery.
  • Plan production based on target inventory levels while meeting customer shelf life requirements.
  • Address inventory issues related to overproduction or rework.
  • Optimize schedules and sequencing to enhance manufacturing plant operations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Inventory, Commercialization, and others teams on material status and production planning.
  • Responsible for cadence reporting and distribution of specific daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Continuously enhance planning and scheduling processes, gaining insights into product production mix and plant operations.
  • Coordinate trial production runs with production personnel and customers, sourcing test materials and ensuring timely production.
  • Manage daily/weekly production schedules, communicating changes to the manufacturing and fulfillment leadership team and logistics if box shifts are required.
  • Participate and lead meetings relevant to production planning to ensure alignment and accountability across the fulfillment center
  • Drives analytics to drive performance and develops mitigating strategies due to poor performance, supply chain constraints, or other issues that would affect the execution of the daily plan
  • Assist in coordinating product launch initiatives and achieving departmental/company goals.
  • Support forecasting and ordering of goods, ensuring timely delivery of direct goods to support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to address packaging and ingredient shortages.
  • Engage with internal customers on orders, product adjustments, and new product start-ups.
  • Provide backup support to other Production Planners as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
