JOB SUMMARY

The Franchise Development Project Manager will take preliminary scopes of work and budgets from Sales, finalize, and present the final SOW and project costs to the individual business owner. Primary responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and per brand requirements.

Duties & Expectations

  • Manage franchisee projects across multiple brands in various industries: hospitality, QSR, specialty beverage, fitness and automotive
  • Controls all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendor
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives post sale
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Works to understand the changing needs of the customer; negotiates pricing with a contractual focus to ensure we protect the company’s interests
  • Maintains database records and information throughout the project
  • Orders products, materials and arranges shipments as needed
  • Manage documentation and billing, such as purchase orders, change orders, and close out documents
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors
  • Partner with field personnel to ensure proper execution onsite

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE OR SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Undergraduate degree; preferably business, construction, or manufacturing
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to help others and solve problems on own
  • Strong ability to build successful relationships with clients leading to long-term business.
  • Able to plan and organize workflow, following established processes to get the work done.
  • Commercial construction background strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of basic blueprint reading skills
  • Permitting background is a plus.
  • Functional/technical skills - Has functional and technical knowledge and skills to do.
