Experience and Knowledge:

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience within competitive therapeutic field, oncology & hematology preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of Brand Lead experience (or similar management level role)
  • Demonstrated track record of success in launching and commercialization product(s) with high integrity while focusing on execution
  • Ability to lead the development and implementation of innovative strategic and tactical plans with in-depth knowledge of marketing, sales, and field medical/access on Therapeutic Area Partners fundamentals
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders successfully and effectively
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and success in effectively communicating and influencing decisions with senior management
  • Proven history of seeking out new information and learning quickly - ability to absorb new concepts, analyze data and ask insightful questions to make effective decisions-experiments
  • Knowledge and understanding of pricing & reimbursement, outcomes research, regulatory affairs, payor management
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of local and regional challenges relative to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working
  • Strong project management, analytical and forecasting skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to create energy and excitement
  • Knowledge of financial principles and how to manage budgets, control expenses and manage product performance

Responsibilities:

The Franchise Lead will report to the KSA & Gulf General Manager and will be part of the KSA & Gulf Executive committee. This role will lead the development and implementation of the franchise strategy and the execution of commercial (marketing, sales), and field medical/access on Therapeutic Area Partners activities of all haematology brands (mainly CAR-T) in KSA & Gulf.
The individual taking this role will lead & work with cross-functional teams, including the distributors in those countries, to ensure alignment, prioritization, and appropriate resource allocations. This position has a key role in the business strategy and overall financial success of the KSA & Gulf

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the overall business including business trends and BMS corporate strategy and contribute to the strategic management of the operations through effective participation and close working relationship with the General Manager and Leadership Team
  • Develops and communicates a compelling long-term haematology vision for KSA & Gulf that is aligned with the overall KSA & Gulf, Regional and Global strategy
  • Develop annual brand planning to optimize sales, market shares and profit margin. Implement innovative and integrated commercial strategies and tactics, ensuring completion on a timely basis and within agreed budgets
  • Builds & develops a diverse and high performing team across the franchise by attracting & retaining the best talent, establishing, and communicating high standards, establishing, and implementing development plans
  • Serves as role model in providing regular feedback and coaching to improve performance and delivery skills. Creates opportunities for individuals to develop
  • Exhibit a best-in-class level of disease, product, and indication knowledge, including competitor products
  • Initiate, build, and maintain strong relationships with key external medical KOL’s, HCPs, clinical pharmacies, and payers to create positive impact and change to attainment of business objectives and targets
  • Develops strong relationships with local (prioritizing Saudi Arabia and UAE), regional and global internal stakeholders (cross functions), and integrate those diverse resources to enhance business performance
  • Drives change by challenging the status quo. Identifies gaps and thinks strategically to bridge the gaps
  • Analyse and translate trends, threats, and opportunities in the marketplace in terms of long-term business implications
  • Demonstrate an understanding of pricing and reimbursement issues as they relate to the brand or disease area; contributes to strategies and mechanisms that obtain/maintain optimal pricing reimbursement/access, in compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards
  • Accountable for the sales of BMS Haematology brands in KSA & Gulf, work with finance to prepare forecast and P&L analysis of products to support the development of the local strategy
  • Ensure consistency of direct communication to customers, business processes and services with brand positioning
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to develop depth understanding of Life Cycle Plan and deliver specific actions/programs to support prioritized business opportunities
  • Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and BMS Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Pharmaceutical / Medical field
  • Business School degree or MBA is preferred.
