Job Description
JOB TITLE: Fraud Operations Manager - Insurance, Pensions and Investments (IP&I)
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the Edinburgh office.
About this opportunity
IP&I Fraud are growing and currently have a phenomenal opportunity for a Fraud Operations Manager to join our newly created Edinburgh based team.
As Ops Manager, you’ll work closely with the Senior Manager to understand, design and develop Insurance, Pensions & Investments fraud tech stack, supporting our Digital Strategy. You’ll get involved in reviewing the right tech for us, testing it out and designing (and owning) our rule sets. You’ll lead a team of colleagues who will work these alerts, referring complex fraud cases to our Senior Investigators.
This is a fast paced-dynamic role, and the landscape is constantly evolving!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and managing transaction monitoring and fraud workstreams within Fraud Ops with a combination of 3rd party tools and internal data points.
  • Actively engaging in daily operational processes when you first join to understand the scope of current transaction risk and, on an ongoing basis, to demonstrate how to operationalise the new transaction monitoring and fraud processes that you’ll be designing.
  • Be responsible for the fraud workstreams, using data insights to direct you towards process improvement. This will include establishing metrics from scratch; so ideally you’ll know which data points to measure and common tools and methodologies for extracting these data points.
  • Work with the Senior Manager to design the Fraud tech stack, ensuring we’re implementing the right tools in the right places. Once the tech lands, you’ll be responsible for rule and alert management ensuring we have the right operational capability to prevent and detect fraud, whilst making the right decisions for our customers.
  • Run the Ops team, using internal data insights and external factors to form views on risk trending, identify strategic opportunities (or gaps) and present this analysis in a structured way to the Senior Manager.

Why Lloyds Banking Group?

  • Strong policy and procedure drafting skills, second line of defence experience is desirable.
  • Comfortable presenting papers to senior leaders – our Execs are passionate about understanding our fraud risk.
