PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes.
The role will report into the Programme Lead for Markets and Securities Operations Operations within the Change function in Operations.
The Change Team within Operations manages projects from the initiation stage through to implementation and this role will specifically focus on an RPA project as a hybrid PM/BA.
The focus for the project is on the strategy regarding EOL RPA platform versions, including the possibility to merge the Bank and Securities RPA platforms, consolidation/ utilising a single platform and upgrading from RPA 10.7.x to 11.x
There are also plans for wider RPA development to harness opportunities for higher ROI projects.
Success criteria will be RPA solutions to be implemented and expected benefits are realised for the beneficiary division in EMEA.
We are are looking for a strong and disciplined Project Manager to define and lead the strategic initiative for managing End-of-Life (EOL) Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform versions, focusing on merging, consolidating, or upgrading current systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing existing RPA platforms, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, and ensuring a seamless transition to newer, more efficient versions. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and strong project management capabilities to ensure business continuity while optimizing the RPA landscape.

In this role, you will be responsible for change management across the bank’s Securities business covering the following:
RPA Project
Strategic Planning:
Develop and define a comprehensive strategy for addressing the EOL of current RPA platform versions, with a clear roadmap for merging, consolidating, or upgrading systems.
Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to assess the current state of RPA platforms and define the most effective transition path.
Identify key opportunities for consolidation to reduce complexity and improve efficiency across the RPA ecosystem.
Project Leadership and Execution:
Lead the end-to-end management of the EOL transition projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and minimizing operational disruption.
Create detailed project plans outlining timelines, resource requirements, budgets, and risk management strategies.
Drive the consolidation and upgrading of RPA platforms, ensuring alignment with current business needs and future technological developments.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business Process Owners, Compliance, and vendors, to gather input and ensure alignment on the strategy.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to communicate the strategy, gather feedback, and address any concerns regarding EOL transitions.
Ensure consistent and transparent communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential technical, operational, or business risks associated with the EOL of RPA platforms.
Develop contingency plans to address any issues that may arise during consolidation or upgrade activities, ensuring minimal impact on ongoing operations.
Proactively communicate risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
Platform Assessment and Vendor Management:
Evaluate the current RPA platforms to determine which systems to merge, consolidate, or upgrade, and assess vendor offerings for newer platform versions or alternatives.
Manage relationships with RPA technology providers to understand new features, pricing, and support for upgrades or platform transitions.
Change Management:
Develop change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition for users impacted by merging, consolidating, or upgrading RPA platforms.
Provide training, documentation, and support to teams using RPA systems to ensure they are prepared for new processes and platforms.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Track and report on project performance, ensuring that key milestones and objectives are met.
Analyze the impact of the consolidation or upgrade on process efficiency, cost savings, and business outcomes.
Implement continuous improvement practices to optimize the performance of newly consolidated or upgraded RPA platforms.
