Description:
TERMS
- The project is scheduled to start as of now and will run for at least 19+ months until the end of February 2026 (with the option to extend).
- Contract type: fixed-term employment or freelance project.
- The position requires a commitment of 48 hours per week
- Home leaves will be provided on a 90 days on / 2 weeks off schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field required.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish is highly desirable.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a BAS-U certification.
- Demonstrated experience in HSE management for on-site process plant construction.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
We are currently supporting a prestigious engineering EPC project, dedicated to advancing industrial gas production and sustainable technologies. Our client, a global leader in engineering solutions, is embarking on a significant venture to design, construct, and operate an on-site Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Boden, Northern Sweden. This $150 million project will enhance the production capabilities of a cutting-edge integrated plant focused on drastically reducing carbon emissions by up to 95% in steel manufacturing. The ASU will supply essential gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, pivotal in supporting innovative and eco-friendly steel production processes.
- Provide HSE technical consulting to both site and contractor management teams, including direct support to safety personnel.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of the site’s HSE management systems.
- Develop and implement HSE improvement strategies for construction and commissioning phases.
- Maintain and update essential HSE documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and project-specific requirements.
- Design and deliver comprehensive HSE training and education for site personnel and contractors, covering all necessary procedures and safety protocols.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of the permit-to-work system and other contractor HSE activities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, safety walks, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to established HSE protocols.
- Support site management in risk assessment, incident investigation, and the preparation and execution of HSE audits.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders including client personnel, contractors, and HSE organizations.
- Compile HSE performance statistics and develop preventative measures based on data analysis.
- Actively participate in HSE meetings, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities as per project requirements
