OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

OWR is currently seeking experienced IT Technicians to join our team as contractors, event professionals, or freelancers. As an Onsite IT Technician, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and managing IT systems for world-class events, both locally and internationally. This role offers exposure to various facets of our business, including field services and on-site event technology installations and support.

Tasks

  • Set up and configure IT systems and networks on-site to support temporary event requirements, ensuring smooth operation throughout the event duration.
  • Deploy and manage IT systems within your designated region, including setting up end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices, as well as configuring network equipment and audio-visual hardware.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal condition of both software and hardware components, including VR headsets, routers, printers, and other peripherals, to guarantee uninterrupted service during events.
  • Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving needs and ensure that project requirements are met satisfactorily.
  • Provide responsive telephone support to users, offering technical assistance and troubleshooting guidance as required to resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor the progress of ongoing projects, promptly addressing any technical challenges or concerns that may arise to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Participate in various event assignments, providing on-site event technology support and engaging in face-to-face interactions with clients to represent the company professionally and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Be prepared for domestic and international travel as needed to support event technology requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in accommodating varying event locations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in IT support roles, preferably as an assistant or technician, is preferred.
  • Right to work in Germany.
  • Possession of a valid European driving license is beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual/multilingual skills are highly valued. German, Spanish, or French speakers would be preferred.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
  • A genuine passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and solid organisational abilities are critical for effectively liaising with clients and team members.
  • An IT background is advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and effectively solve problems in dynamic event environments.
