REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in piano, violin, or drums, with a strong understanding of music theory and performance techniques.
  • Previous experience teaching music to children in a one-to-one setting is highly desirable.
  • A relevant degree or certification in music education or performance is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and encouraging approach to teaching.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
  • A passion for inspiring children through music and fostering their love for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised music instruction in piano, violin, or drums tailored to each student’s skill level, interests, and learning goals.
  • Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that foster musical skills, including technique, theory, sight-reading, and performance.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression through music.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs and goals of each student.
  • Prepare students for performances, exams, or personal milestones, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with families to keep them informed about their child’s progress and to discuss ways to support learning at home.
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in music education, incorporating new methods and materials into lessons.
