Freelance Question Editor - Editing and Writing Professionals

Medify is recruiting an experienced and meticulous freelance editor to edit and write multiple choice questions on a flexible basis, with 10 guaranteed paid hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum two years experience as a paid editor in English.
• Graduates with degrees in any field can apply.
• Sustained interest in at least one area of non-academic writing in English, such as creative or journalistic writing. We are looking for an active enthusiasm for writing and a facility for writing in different forms and styles.
• The ability to articulate thought processes clearly and effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Please note you must be eligible to work in the country where you currently reside. If you are on a student visa, check whether its terms allow for self-employment before applying.

In this role, you will:

• Edit and write short passages (two to four paragraphs each) for the Verbal Reasoning section of the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT).
• Edit and write questions, answers and full explanations to accompany original passages.
• Edit, research and write on a range of topics (everything from historical figures and events to trends in contemporary society and technology).
• Manage freelance writer submissions and assume administrative responsibilities.
• Potentially work on other sections of the UCAT exam or other Medify products.

Please note that this role does not require any previous experience with the UCAT or any knowledge of medicine or medical education.
