Freelance Senior WordPress Developer - Remote

House Buyers of America is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to assist on an ad-hoc project basis. This role is fully REMOTE!

• Develop and resolve complex issues of a website
• Optimize the site for SEO, speed, performance and responsiveness

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
• Proven 10+ years of work experience as a WordPress developer.
• 2+ years of JavaScript experience
• Experience working with front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, BitBucket, and SVN.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Experience working with third party API integrations like Google Maps, Places, CRM etc.
• Experience working with WordPress plugins like Gravity forms etc.
• Experience developing SEO friendly website architecture.
• Experience working with SEO tools.
• Experience launching sites with cloud services like SiteGround, AWS.
• Knowledge of backend like PHP, NodeJs etc.
• Understanding of MySQL, MongoDB databases.
• Experience in site optimization for speed and performance.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Understanding of website security
• Ability to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Good communication skills.
