Job Description
The Studio Assistant position is a paid opportunity to work in the SSENSE studio alongside Stylists, Coordinators and Photographers. Reporting to the Studio Assistant Coordinators, the Studio Assistant will ensure the ready-to-wear and accessories photoshoot operations run smoothly. Working as part of a multidisciplinary production team that answers to daily studio planning, he/she will be responsible for all aspects of the flow and quality care of items, from the arrival of products to their return to stock. The ideal candidate will ensure proper management and preparation of all products to be styled, contributing and gaining valuable knowledge in different areas of studio production.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year of coordination or retail experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Knowledge of textiles and garment care
  • Interest in fashion, styling and e-commerce photography
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of WMS systems, an asset
  • Understanding of how warehouse operations, an asset
  • Must be open to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Ability to walk 5 km per day with equipment and/or stand for extended periods, when required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 30 lbs

Responsibilities:

Merchandise Management - 100%

  • Assist in receiving and returning products to and from the Distribution Center
  • Transfer items and log inventory movements in the Warehouse Management System
  • Identify and track daily stock issues (damages, inventory discrepancies, labelling, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the styling room
  • Assist the Stylists by requesting and picking matching products from our onsite mini-warehouse
  • Carefully unpack clothes, shoes and accessories
  • Prepare clothing racks for the Stylists
  • Ensure all garments are prepped and photoshoot ready (steam / iron clothes, etc.)
  • Assist the Merchandise Team by tracking all samples for special projects and high traffic launches
  • Work closely with the Set Coordinators and Producers to ensure photoshoot objectives are attained
  • Support the department by performing various studio tasks as required
