Description:
As a Grants Deployment Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in guiding our grant funded clients through funder project set-up and reporting processes, to ensure that their projects align with funder terms & conditions. This involves providing technical assistance, reviewing & preparing exemplary quarterly progress reports, and offering feedback/drafting correspondence to enhance client-monitoring officer working relationship, and adherence to standards. Your expertise in project management, data analysis, and regulatory compliance will be essential in guiding project teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely submission of all funder required documentation & reports.
Your primary responsibility will be to support grant winners to report on time and to scope, ensuring that they receive their funding instalments on time and remain eligible to access future funding opportunities. Your role will include, providing technical assistance & guidance to support clients in navigating funder regulatory frameworks, to review required documentation & provide expert feedback and insight, to review and draft correspondence from and for the funder on behalf of our client/s, and to provide ad-hoc guidance on a broad range of client queries, as and when required. You will work closely with an assigned project manager to understand tailored delivery timelines for each client, review project related documentation in G-Suite, and proactively remove impending blockers, in order to ensure timely submission of detailed, accurate reports. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between Innovate UK’s requirements and our clients required deliverables, ensuring that all projects demonstrate measurable progress and impact. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that funded projects are delivered successfully, reinforcing Innovate UK’s mission to convene, catalyse and invest in close collaboration with others to build a thriving, inclusive research and innovation system that connects discovery to prosperity and public good.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 + years experience in grants/project management;
- Strong track record of successfully delivering £250k+ projects throughout the entirety of the project reporting lifecycle;
- Familiarity with working in major funder portals, particularly IFS & the EU Funding and Tenders portal;
- A deep understanding of the Innovate UK funding landscape & wider regulatory framework;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively guide grant recipients & grant partners through the reporting process and to ensure that complex consortia are effectively managed;
- Highly financially literate and comfortable overseeing multi-million pound budgets & financial reporting.
