Freelancer - 2D Concept Artist (f/m/d)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years of production experience in mobile game development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong understanding of art and visual design principles with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Effective communicator and team player who values collaboration.
  • Passion for video games and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating artistic skill and style versatility.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Blender to support 2D art creation.
  • Understanding of in-game animations, particularly for character design.
  • Experience working in Unity for asset integration and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce visually compelling concept art for characters, environments, props, and game assets in a timely manner.
  • Adapt to a variety of visual styles while maintaining high-quality standards across diverse themes and projects.
  • Collaborate with the art director, 3D artists, and designers to ensure alignment with the creative vision and iterate based on feedback.
  • Balance speed and quality by prioritizing essential design elements, and streamlining intricate details when necessary.
  • Contribute fresh ideas and creative solutions to elevate the quality of our games.
  • Participate in visual critiques and brainstorming sessions to improve and expand upon the artistic vision.
  • Research industry standards and experiment with new techniques and workflows to improve processes.
