Description:

As part of the Operations Department in a multinational company, you will be moving freight from all over the world and dealing all aspects of quoting, forwarding, customs and 3rd parties through to completion. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Previous experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Italian
- A high level of energy with a “can-do” positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
- Eligibility to work in Italy is essential
Responsibilities:
- Researching and planning the most appropriate and cost-effective route for shipment
- You will negotiate contracts, transportation and handling costs.
- You will check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packaging specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes
- You will liaise with and manage third parties in accordance with customer requirements
- You will arrange insurance and assist the client in the event of a claim
- You will communicate with the customer, maintain visibility and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports, statistical and unit cost analyst
- You will be the back up for customs formalities or sub-contracting services
- You will provide quotations to existing clients/ new clients and agents
- You will help and support local business development opportunities
