JOB OVERVIEW:

Freight Team Associates are responsible for inventory replenishment and organizing the sales floor to create a pleasant and safe shopping environment. This includes down stocking from over stock and new freight replenishment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
• Lift equipment experience would be an asset (Forklift, pallet jack etc.)
• Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
• Detailed-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated to drive completion of tasks as quickly and accurately as possible
• Computer skills considered an asset but not required (training provided)
• Detail orientated and strong attention to following safe work practices

• Verifying inventory – this includes examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, and reporting any damage to supervisors
• Stocking merchandise onto shelves to achieve 100% in-stock position
• Stocks merchandise onto shelves for customer availability; requires sorting and staging of merchandise to sales floor
• Maintaining aisle cleanliness and shop-ability (minimize intrusion of freight while working)
• Rotating items that could expire
• Aisle facing and fronting the items
• Communicating with other team members to ensure all products are stocked accurately on the shelves and in overstock areas
• Moving freight safely from designated staging areas to overheads using the appropriate equipment as necessary
